How to switch to education career from a technical degree?

I had enough of rat race for the past 20+ years, really need to switch carrer. I have a local engineering degree. I know can do post grad diploma, but later the teaching opportunities will be very limited. Is there any path to pursue Masters in Edu. instead? Thanks
