povidone iodine 10% for a canker sore

Are there any doctors or nurses who can make me feel better about something. I used topical povidone iodine 10% for a canker sore without thinking or checking if it was safe until afterwards. I just found out I am pregnant and everything on line is basically "call your doctor" which is making me nervous. Are one time mistakes like this going to truly hurt the baby or am I safe to not call my doctor?
