Circle Magic question

Ok, so I'm looking at circle magic and things people are saying about it (yes, its very clearly broken, but I wanna know how broken.)

Many people seem to interpret augment "When you cast a spell with a range of at least 5 feet, you can increase the range of the spell by 1,000 feet per secondary caster contributing to the spell, up to a maximum of a 1-mile increase." As working with emaation style spells like earth tremor.

Imo, those should fall under expand. Witj augment being used for the actual range away from you the spell can be cast.

But I'm up to listening to other people. Maybe this is an RAI vs RAW type thing and its just worded poorly. But I personally feel they clearly meant for it to make you able to cast spells at greater distances, not to may half a mile wide emanations.
