Bladder Issues caused by Atrophy?
Hi everyone! Weird question, has anyone been having more urinary frequency after some years on T? I'm noticing I have an increase in trips to the bathroom now but it has no apparent cause. I'm gonna be frank about a lot here. Things I've considered:
-
I have diabetes. Initially I started monitoring my sugar more closely when I noticed this issue. It is exactly the same as it was before, if anything a bit on the lower side. However they did switch me from Ozempic to Mounjaro in the last month and a half.
-
I just did my yearly Pap and I have a cyst on my cervix. They said not to worry about it, especially because I'm consulting for complete hysto with ovary removal right now.
-
I do have beginning stages of atrophy, specifically uterine cramping and more easy microtears. It is not bad enough that I am in pain outside of intercourse and I do have an appointment booked for later this month to discuss estrogen suppositories.
-
I am not pregnant. My partner and I use both barrier and hormonal birth control. Even in the event something went catastrophically wrong, she is on feminizing HRT and I haven't stopped mine. I do not menstruate.
-
My fluid intake has stayed the same.
I am pretty much out of ideas about what could be causing this, and was wondering if perhaps the uterine cramps and other atrophy symptoms could be stressing my bladder. I don't have any painful urination or UTI symptoms, just increased frequency. My fear is I potentially have a cyst on my ovary pressing on my bladder (thanks PCOS!) but I think I'd be in pain if that were the case, as has happened before. Have any of you had this problem? I'm seeing my HRT prescriber later this month and my physical is early December, so I'm not so concerned about time but I definitely have to bring it up.
