Controllers freeze during gameplay

Hey all! I've had a steam deck since the beginning, but I typically just use it for travel. I recently started using it docked in my living, and bought a ps5 controller. I was having an issue where my inputs would freeze for 0.5-1s, and thought it might just be the controller. I ended up buying a second one, and it has the same issue, but a couple of times, the controller has just entirely froze, but the game kept going.

I've used my steam deck in docked mode before, but using Xbox controllers, and haven't had this issue. Is this something other people have experienced? Is this a ps5 controller issue?
