Midwestern lingo

Question: Do you guys actually say things like uffda, dontcha know, ya for yes, tough tomatoes, you betcha, etc. in everyday situations?

I’m writing a story about a kid who plays hockey in Minnesota; problem is I’m from Georgia, so I don’t want the dialogue to sound contrived.
