Is there any way this man is not a POS?

My parents were married with 3 kids, ages 4 years, 1.5 years, and a newborn (me). He was sleeping with his company secretary, Roseanne, for an unknown length of time. He left my mom when I was a few months old, and moved in with Roseanne. At this time he found out that his dad was also sleeping with Roseanne. His dad owned the company my dad worked for, and he told my dad that he could either have the company (like become CEO) or have Roseanne. He chose Roseanne. They were together for maybe 5 years, and I went with my siblings to their tiny cigarette smoke filled apartment every other weekend for visitation. They broke up after a while, and my dad had a revolving door of women in his new tiny smoke filled apartment. I had panic attacks going there, there’s probably hundreds of things he did that weird either unsafe, gross, or illegal.

He’s retired now and lives with a women he has been with for 10 years. I don’t know if they’re married, my mom said she found a wedding record of theirs but he never mentioned anything. He lives 20 mins away but is basically absent from my life despite me trying to connect for years. He is like a real dad to her kids, driving them to college and stuff. He ignores half of my texts, I stopped trying to connect months ago and he sent me a long letter about all of my failures and I haven’t really heard from him since.

I guess I’m just wondering if even if everything after him cheating and leaving my family was neutral, if he’s just inherently a bad person. I spend a lot of time analyzing how much effort to put into my relationship with him and would like to just stop.
