When are you supposed to have an appointment to hear the baby’s heartbeat?
I went to an appointment yesterday and well I thought it would involved hearing the heartbeat because I’ve seen that they do it around this time and my mom told me it’s probably to hear it, because that’s around the time she did.
But when I had my appointment yesterday all they did was do my blood pressure and ask a few questions, all of which could have been done at my midwife appointment, which is at a hospital closer to me (both are part of the same trust but the one is more for outpatient care), I ended up having to wait about 45 minutes for that appointment past my appointment time because of it being at the bigger hospital.
I thought that maybe I would hear the heartbeat after but I asked them and they said they’d listen to it at 24 weeks.
What point did they listen to the heartbeat during your pregnancy?
