Sean Brady vs Michael Morales, who you got?

agentmma.com

This is the fight that separates the contenders from the pretenders at welterweight. Sean Brady just pulled off something crazy in London - submitting Leon Edwards with a guillotine from mount in the fourth round. That's the same Leon Edwards who was a champion not long ago. Now he's running it back at MSG against Michael Morales, who's been on an absolute tear with that first-round destruction of Gilbert Burns back in May. Here's the thing - Burns is the exact same guy Brady went five hard rounds with to get a decision win last September. The matchup is wild because Brady's whole game is about dragging you into deep water and drowning you there.

Brady got that Renzo Gracie Philly grappling that's nasty as hell - remember when he kimura'd Kelvin Gastelum and went 5-for-5 on takedowns? But Morales is sitting there at 18-0, cracking dudes from distance. He's finished his last two fights in the first round, and that power is legit scary. Brady's only loss in the UFC came against Belal Muhammad, who caught him with punches at distance in round two. Sound familiar? That's exactly where Morales does his best work.

But if Brady can close the distance and get his hands locked, Morales hasn't really been tested there yet. The Ecuadorian kept it standing against Neil Magny and Jake Matthews, but Brady's pressure is a whole different animal. Whoever wins this is knocking on the title picture's door. Both guys know it, and that's what makes November 15th at MSG so damn important.

Who you got guys?
