Is it detrimental or innocuous when CNBC anchors add their political opinions to seemingly objective reports and interviews?

I watch CNBC for hours a day. (Not because I want to but because I’m a caregiver to a market-obsessive). I highly respect Sara Eisen for her ability to explain often complex issues and I truly think she’s an excellent broadcaster. However, I don’t find it helpful when she’s reporting and can’t help but make things political. It’s never productive; rather, it negates her excellent interviewing skills and her ability to assess market trends in a way that’s consistent with how her co-anchors operate.

Obviously nothing is purely objective and every personality on CNBC has personal opinions and feelings. They literally have shows for that. But Eisen continually adds politics to the mix in a way that shuts down true conversation.

Maybe instead of being the face of CNBC, she should have her own show in which she can explore how her politics relate to the market. I just hope you know who comes back soon.
