In need of wisdom

Hello, I'm a young writer (which means I've been basically just been writing in the privacy of my bedroom on my laptop, but still counts as awriter, right? Not a published author), in my early twenties and I'm trying to figure out how to move forward.

So, I've been writing short stories for a while out of boredom and one day I started wondering about an actual book, and I found this sub by chance.

I'm new, and I've read a few posts, but all the jargon seems like confused gibberish to, me. I'd love if any of you could hand me some piece of advice on how to move forward in general, if I will eventually pursue this project, on what to after the creative part.
