Main Characters' chemistry off screen during promotions is CRAZY

So I noticed in China, when a drama is being heavily promoted, the main leads are like... always holding hands and acting like a real couple. Off screen. During interviews or variety programs or even when talking to fans together.

As someone used to Korean culture I find this so surprising. In a good way. But kinda shocked because once the promotions end they act like strangers 😂

But I know one thing both cultures have in common is toxic fans, so I understand the distance they keep later on but I think it's so cute when they can be free of criticism during these short promotional periods.

*random thought I had bc im rewatching Amidst a Snowstorm of Love, and seeing their recent award ceremony fancam where they act like they don't know each other :( but I remember them being sooo cute on Amazing Saturday (?) and some sit down interview where they hold hands the whole time
