Dancing for the camera

Not trying to call anyone out or be cruel, I’m genuinely curious how you guys feel about this:

Those videos people make of them just dancing over decks to their new song get a lot of traction & seem to be the dominant form of promotion of social media. Levity successfully used this format to blow up along with many others. Does anyone see these and think “wow that’s a cool person and I’m enjoying seeing them dance” ?

My theory is that these are popular because people hate watch them. If the song is good enough you’ll convert some haters, but I think the initial interest that grabs people’s attention might not be in good faith?
