First time looking for work in years and cant even get a response

Seriously. Whats the deal? I have a strong resume with years of experience, no criminal history, reliable transportation, etc. I used to apply on jobs and get dozens of messages on indeed and would be working by next week. But now Ive applied to at least 20 places and cant even get an email response, a message on indeed or even a text back on craigslist. Anybody else experiencing this?
