This is a question on the legendaries. If we fail to catch them, can we try again?

First of all, I am sorry its flared as discussion, did see a question one.

So I am about to go start the missions for the legendaries and I am wondering if I fail to catch them, if I will have more chances. I keep having trouble catching Alphas sometimes, and I know legendaries have harder catch rates.
