What are first signs of thyroid eye disease?

I have been diagnosed with hyperthyroidism for about 5 months and taking methimazole. Since yesterday, my left eyelid has looked retracted and I’m not sure what to do.

Can this still happen even when on medication? Should I call my endocrinologist or schedule an eye doctor appointment?
