My First Experience with Nootropics- Noopept (Intranasal, 2.5–5 mg)
Took my first ever dose around 3 mg intranasally at 8:30 PM (86kg with Ulcerative Colitis - remission right now).
Honestly didn’t expect much… but wow.
After about 5–10 minutes, it hit surprisingly clearly:
- a deep mental calm, total silence in my head — no internal noise, no racing thoughts,
- not stimulating, more like tranquil focus,
- slightly droopy eyelids, but in a relaxed, meditative way.
Heart rate went from 55 to around 62/65 bpm — barely noticeable.
Vision got sharper and more detailed, textures on my pillow, wall paint, the radiator — everything seemed more vivid and defined, like someone turned up the contrast slightly.
Two words - tunnel vision.
I woke up a few times during the night, remembered vivid dreams, but didn’t feel anxious. Woke up at 7:40 AM a bit groggy, eyes sticky, still calm.
After breakfast (4 eggs + coffee), I took 5 mg and felt that clarity return. From 8 AM to 12 PM I was very focused, chill, and slightly in flow. Added 2 mg around noon, subtle top-up.
After about 4 hours, the visual and cognitive edge faded gradually.
The standout effect: quiet mind. Absolute peace without any dullness.
I naturally have low GABA (I’m a high-dopamine, high-stress type), and this felt like it finally balanced my brain chemistry - calm without sedation.
It had a slightly narcotic vibe (especially vision effect), not as in “high”, but in that eerie sense of nothing buzzing inside your head for once.
No headache, some belly movements, no crash, probably thanks to decent choline intake (I eat eggs daily).
Right now, I’m in love with this clean mental silence, should I try to add more to get stimulation?.
Intranasal route is fast, smooth, and you skip the taste feels more efficient than sublingual.
Noopept feels kinda mentally addictive.
Planning go 5 days ON (when IT work) 2 days OFF.
