I would like some help (Scripture Questions)
(tldr, what should i be reading?) Hello, Ive been "Lutheran" (baptized as a baby, went to church with a friend while younger, sometimes prayed, never was "devout") for all my life, here recently ive been very interested in orthodoxy and getting closer to God in what really does seem like the right dominion.
That said, i havent been to church yet, there arent any orthodox churches anywhere near me so it will be a trip to attend liturgy, ask questions, and get baptized, so im trying to do as much research and praying at home as i can.
I have ordered the Septuagint with Apocrypha, and a Orthodox Christian Prayer book. Ive been reading the prayer book and trying to stick with St. Seraphim of Sarov's Prayer rule. I was told however that i shouldnt be reading the septuagint with apocrypha, and that i instead need to order "The Orthodox Study Bible"
What do i need? i was under the impression that the Septuagint with Apocrypha were generally excepted in orthodoxy as being the oldest and truest form of the Old Testament, I also need to find a version of the New Testament that is generally accepted among orthodox Christians
