Is Maxi Beier really good enough to start for BVB? (Asking this question again)

I am not posting this because of todays game, but more because of all the games he played in the last month. He scored one extra lucky goal against Koln, but in other games he was non existent. I know some fans like what he brings to the team — he works hard, presses well, and tracks back defensively. But honestly, I don’t think that’s enough to be a starter for a club like Borussia Dortmund.

Technically, he’s just not at the level we need. His dribbling is below average, and he doesn’t really offer that creative spark you expect from an offensive player (one of two players behind the striker).

For me, he feels more like a squad player than someone who should start every week. I’m not even sure he’ll ever reach the level required to be a first-choice player here.

I’d honestly prefer if we replaced him next summer with a more talented, technically gifted offensive player — and sold Beier while he still has some market value.
