Audit Manager to FDD Senior
Long time lurker, first poster.
I am a second year manager in Audit MCOL making ~110k. Recently got offered a position in FDD internally at my firm. Same pay but they want me to start as a Senior.
I have heard that the exit opportunities are ideal after second year as a manager. So, here's my dilemma - take the demotion to go to FDD (not sure how quick I can climb back to Manager, probably going to try for 1 year), work I am more interested in. Or stick it out 6 more months for an industry job.
I think I will like FDD work more, but not sure if it's worth sacrificing career progression.
