Transporting an Ashford Traveler

Hi all

I am looking at going to collect an Ashford Traveler (I believe a first version) from someone on eBay next week, and I am just working out the practical element of getting it home. I will be going on multiple trains to get it and to bring it back.

From what I have read they were(/are?) sold to be constructed after purchasing, so I was wondering if I could likely take it apart (at least partially) for easier transportation?

I don't know a lot about spinning, this is for my husband. I just use the yarn afterwards!

Any advice would be much appreciated!
