Soil type.

Recently I have expanded my grow room to include some VFT’s & some Sundews. Not sure botanical name, but they are doing well. I read as many post on here as I can to learn what I can. My plants get way more adequate light & distilled water. My main question is… what soil medium should I be using. I originally purchased some carnivorous planting mix & have mixed in some coco chips for better soil draining & to be more environmentally conscious. I have been reading that most people sphagnum moss. I am just wondering is there one better than another. Newbie here just wanting to learn.
