Vanilla voyage and Eclaire?

I just blind bought the two since I'm a vanilla lover through and through and I can't believe how much I hate them :( I got them off FB marketplace so not sure if they have been macerated, but man do they need them.

Vanilla voyage has a scent of butter smelled from just the atomizer, but once sprayed, it's straight alcohol and then dries down to a horrible cherry smell. Am I picking up solely on the licorice? I KNOW I'd love this based on what people say so I have her sitting with the cap off, is this how I macerate?

As for Eclaire, also straight alcohol and a cherry smell lol, what am I smelling? Also smells bad. I don't smell any vanilla :( I also have her sitting w/o a cap.

I want to love these SOOO bad!!!!
