I'm number 1... hope you get a ticket

Last night I was driving along and saw a trailer with no lights on at all, but the truck was all lit up. The truck even hit the brakes and still nothing on the trailer.
As I came up next to him, I saw that the electrical plug was just hanging loose, not even connected to the trailer.
I was pacing him, cab next to cab and tried to get the driver to roll down his window. He looked over at me briefly, then stared straight ahead at the road. I gave a little toot toot with the horn and he indicated with hand signals that I was number 1 while staring ahead at the road.
