He has liquid poops and its getting all over his fur on his hind legs and tail. Im bathing him with shampoo (unscented, brand is whisker city.) and I’ll only be cleaning his booty until his poops are solid again. I know bathing too much is not good for cats, but I have to do it to keep him clean and not smelly. What can i do that’s best for his skin?

I gave him two full body baths (one was half-assed because he was very stressed and we just got him, and it was necessary because there was dried poop on him), which was last night and another this afternoon where I properly cleaned him (in a less stressful environment) and then a half body bath half an hour ago to get the dried poop off. Last picture is from the end of his first bath

He has pooped 3 times today and if it continues to be three times a day, ill have to clean him 3 times a day and I don’t want to ruin his skin barrier.

Im very confident that his diarrhea was an issue before his adoption because of the aforementioned dried poop on his body. If he still has diarrhea on Monday my mom (he is her kitten, im taking care of them, he and my kitten, because my room is best equipped and im off for the majority of this week) will call the vet from the agency we adopted him from to get him looked at. (It will be free iirc)

Whats the best way to bathe a kitten that has to be bathed frequently (nsfw for body text, images are safe)
