Hoover Floormate H3001 — will it work for pet hair?

Need a new vacuum, and I've been offered an H3001 from a friend. Only problem is I'm having some trouble finding info on this specific model. I need to know how well it can pick up cat hair, as well as tons of wirey thread from her cat tree, which she likes to shred.

I like the idea of a vacuum that doubles as a carpet cleaner, but my last one couldn't handle pet hair at all and needed to be unclogged multiple times per room.
