Worried I'll always feel alone

Hi, a bit about me. I'm 49M and live in Melbourne Australia after rcently moving here from another state with my family. I've always been a loner and preferred my own company but as I get older I'm worried that this is all it is ever going to be for me and I'll die feeling alone.

I prefer talking online because I'm not a social person. I don't really go out, I don't have friends here at all, and I spend my entire life either at home watching movies or at work in the city. Despite being surrounded by people I constantly feel alone and have niche hobbies I've developed to keep me occupied indoors as well as ways of staying fit on my own. I don't feel like I fit in anywhere.

When I look back I was never like this. I used to surf and go to the gym, go to bbqs and clubs and have friend groups. I know part of it is through trauma from my last job and also something personal that happened to me but it feels like it's all really caught up to me recently. I really have a hard time trusting other people and not only do I feel like other people aren't worth the time I also feel like I'll eventually just let any friends down too.

Sorry for the wall of text, I needed to get it off my chest.
