Fantasy Series, Mage's lover becomes a wolf...

I read this fairly short fantasy series in the late '90s or early 2000s, I think it was four books and each title included the name of an artifact the characters were searching for. It is not Firekeeper or the Little Red Riding Hood one. The main character was a mage, I think she had red hair and started out as a fairly ordinary human who discovered or trained for her powers... She had a male acquaintance named something like Anvar? who later became her lover and he also ended up with powers. Somehow he is cursed and turned into a wolf, she is pregnant and worries that the curse will transfer to the baby, later gives birth but I can't recall if the baby was a wolf or not... Can't remember a ton of detail beyond that, except that they somehow do turn Anvar back into a man. Thanks for reading!
