I’m like 99% sure there’s an infestation in my building considering I saw an adult (dying) and a baby in the hallways. I’ve never seen any in my apartment itself. I saw a massive American cockroach and potentially an American or oriental nymph the other day but I live in a ground floor and that’s expected kind of but I KNOW bugs can and will get in. I have sticky traps all around, put down raid perimeter max spray along every baseboard, and tossed a roach bait and blocked up behind what I consider the biggest point of entry: underneath the convector units. I saw these two in the apartment hallway at various distances from my unit but around 10-20 feet and near the outside door.

How screwed am I? How can I prevent them from infesting my unit? Is there any sort of repellent or preventative measures I can take? Pest control is coming tomorrow because I requested them after the previous roach incidents, I’ve also asked them to spray around the hallways outside my unit. I also placed roach baits at several distances from my unit. I’ve already told the property manager I’ve seen Germans and they can cause bad infestations and a building wide treatment is ideal. This is an old 1960s building with so many cracks and crevices they’re impossible to all close up and my drains are completely open, I feel at a loss here. Should I move?

Infestation in apartment building, how can I not get them in my unit?
