Did anybody else’s conversational skills gets worse?
It’s noted that pwBPD often talk about themselves a lot, to the point that the loved one feels like they can’t talk about themselves at all. For me, I could barely bring up stuff I knew they were interested in - they’d shut down that too.
Generally speaking, I consider myself pretty chatty. Whether that’s with friends or family, I can have a conversation about almost anything - maybe to the point I’m annoying.
But with my ex, I felt like my conversational skills went through the floor. We didn’t have a ton of common interests, so that made things a bit harder, but my everlasting memory from a lot of that relationship is just how much they talked about their life and I nodded along.
They even said I barely talked, to which I said “you don't let me”. There were some other reasons why they were a bit more awkward in conversation but I was wondering if anybody else had the same experience?
