Hey guys, I’m a junior in college and have been working on this project for a while now.

Like most of you, I started learning about the endocrine disrupting chemicals and microplastics that you are exposed to when wearing polyester/synthetic clothing. Unfortunately, it seems like currently the only option to avoid this is buying expensive organic cotton clothing, but as a broke college student there was no way I could afford to switch my whole wardrobe over. Not to mention, polyester is useful sometimes.

So, I had this idea to try to just fix the clothes I already had. And I believe that I have done it. I invented a laundry powder that binds to microplastics, BPA, phthalates, aldehydes, and heavy metals in the wash to remove them. It also leaves an invisible barrier/film so that your skin is protected from any leaching during wear. I am completely new to all of this but my ingredients are 100% research proven and completely natural as well.

I am launching my kickstarter soon, and I really just wanted to consult my fellow non-tox people to see if you guys think this has potential? I am thinking of it as an affordable/accessible option for people who either can’t afford or don’t want to switch all of their clothing. Thank you so much, any feedback is appreciated! I will attach the link to my pre-launch kickstarter page.

Invented a laundry powder that detoxes your clothes? What are your thoughts?
