Friend M18 said he's in love with me M18
Over the last few weeks, I ( M18 ) had multiple men who I have known less than two months crying to me saying they're in love with me. Saying things like they think about me all the time and they want to give me everything and be with me ect. It has been over 4 different men. I have no idea why this is happening because I am doing nothing but being platonically nice to them and just being myself. For instance, the most recent person ( M18 ) was just crying to me. We met at a party back in April and I kept bumping into him at similar parties. We would talk a lot but never outside of this. I recently got into contact with him online and so the length of our "relationship" is two weeks. I am not entirely sure how to even frame this post because I'm quite frankly absolutely bamboozled and confused about what is happening. I know we are all in our late teens and early twenties, but as someone who has been in a 2 year relationship, I know what real love is and this AINT it. I don't even see these men as anything other than friends. Sometimes I give them a chance and say we can go out and see where it goes. But it has never reached a point to warrant crying and I usually get the ick and end up cutting them off completely because extremely toxic cycles keep repeating and things get way too intense. Maybe it's because I'm autistic idk, but for me I move very slowly in relationships and it takes me months to feel physical attraction to people. I usually have to be friends first. Even despite that, I feel like it's impossible to be so in love to bring you to tears! Can anybody tell me what is going on, why this keeps happening, if it's normal, and what I'm supposed to do about it? I feel really bad to say that it's making me uncomfortable and that I feel like it's weird, since they must be hurting somehow but I want to stop this happening and make things work more easily.
