How long should I stay in each of these places in China?
First off, yes I’ve tried posting on Chinese/China travel subreddits but no one really responds, so I’m trying here.
I 19F am planning my 2nd trip to China. I went to BJ, SH, Suzhou+Huangshan in April. The trip was far too short (2 weeks), so I want to go back for longer, check out new places, and try to find somewhere suitable as I plan to move there after uni (Likely either Chengdu or Beijing). I’ve got a rough idea of where to go/how long, but I’m open to suggestions.
天 = Days | EXCLUDING travel days
Beijing (5天) —》Chengdu (9天) —》 Chongqing (4天) —》 Zhangjiajie? (2天) or Jiangxi (idk which part yet) (3天) —》 Taipei (4天) ——————————————————————————————————————— As a traveller, I’m really down to try anything, but I have some main components I’m looking for -
Good hiking spots (Huangshan is unbeatable)
Opera, especially Sichuan Opera
Obvious essential famous spots (duh) (Already went to Great Wall+Forbidden City)
Eccentric little shopping area (Ex. Tianzifang in SH, NOT big name brand streets like Nanjing Road)
And maybe the most important, live houses + diy music/art scenes. I’m very interested in exploring the more alternative music scene in China and hear Beijing+Chengdu are my best bets. But I also get conflicting opinions.
