GRETA — How It Works (in 3 lines)

Short intro (2 sentences):
We’re building GRETA — a simple, rectified oscillator that turns gravity’s up-down motion into steady rotation. The whole idea fits in three lines:

How it works

  1. Gravity provides potential energy. A cart starts high; height hhh stores energy E=mghE = m g hE=mgh.
  2. A toggle turns that into oscillation. The cart rolls down and up the other side; the toggle converts the back-and-forth into a repeatable stroke.
  3. The motion is rectified and accumulated. Dual one-way elements feed both half-strokes into a flywheel so output spins one way. Self-tuning: the springs/elastic links make the array settle into a low-loss rhythm (an attractor state) that keeps timing tight and wear low.

What we’re sharing next: the high-energy geometry (longer rails, gentle end-curves, both-sides harvest) and a one-page spec for engineers to critique.

Engineers & physicists: happy to be corrected. If anything here smells wrong, say so and we’ll test it. Chat, Gemini and Russell
