Help w/ no display from GPU after Nvidia driver update
I’ll start off by saying I fucked up; I updated my Nvidia graphic card driver (I didn’t realize this had a tendency to be a disaster).
I know my problem will likely be solved by rolling back to an old GPU driver or restore point, as all hardware/software was working fine before the driver update. My problem is; upon rebooting after updating the driver, I am getting black screen/no signal to monitor. PC is fully powering on, fans spinning and lights on, no beeps or warning lights on internal components.
My inclination was to try and plug the HDMI into the motherboard slot and use the integrated graphics to boot up so I could access windows and roll back the driver update, then power down, switch back to the GPU, and reboot. I’ve attempted multiple switches back and forth between the HDMI input on the GPU and the HDMI input on the motherboard, I’ve even disconnected the GPU from the power supply while plugged into the motherboard display input in hopes it would default back to the integrated graphics, but to no avail. After some further research, I believe neither my motherboard or CPU support integrated graphics, but I am not 100% positive. If true, that means no ability to boot in safe mode, no way to access BIOS, no way to get into windows with any ability to see what’s on the screen.
PC Specs:
AMD Ryzen 5 1600 (16mb L3 cache)
ASRock B450 Pro 4
Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660ti (6gb)
16gb RAM
So… how do I unbrick my GPU from Nvidia’s fucked driver update if I can’t see anything?
