Unfortunately I Can't Help But be Bothered by What My Manager Said to Me.

vent sesh😀

I'm nervous to make this post because I'm worried if someone from my store will see this but it's been bothering me since Saturday so oh well. πŸ˜”

First of all I was tired that morning because I didn't get that much sleep because of my living situation.

But it was busy because candles were on sale $10.95 that Saturday. It's really frustrating helping boomers. (I know there's some sweet boomers out there.) They act like they need so much help, but yet they tell you how to do your job This one boomer guy was all like "I need help wrapping my candles" so I was trying to help him and he got mad that I didn't take the price tag at first. He could have told me that first before it's half way in the cello And the whole time I was wrapping them he was watching me and it was making me feel nervous and stupid (Also I'm not neurotypical.) The last one came out so ugly I just know it There's this manager that has it out for me I feel and isn't helping us... I understand she has to help the new hires get settled in, but on busy days it sure seems like she goes to back a lot... (And on the day where we had the employee meeting instead of helping us fill she pulled the assignment manager to gossip...)

My general tells me to go do shipping in the back which is fine so I was trying to put candles away, the ones that don't go out yet and the manager that has it out for me comes in and is all like "You need to be respectful!" And then she my coworker said I was snapping at people. Then I start to get really frustrated because I feel like I wasn't. I know I was getting overwhelmed but I wasn't trying to raise my voice at anyone. I tell her to leave me alone because I'm trying to do shipment and she's going on about how I need to respect her. I keep telling her to leave me alone and "Thank you for the feedback." Eventually she leaves but I feel like sh1t while I'm doing the shipment. I'm mad at myself too because I was trying so hard not to crash out So I put away the stuff that needs to be put away and load up a cart and I was dreading going back out there but I knew I had to My one coworker I told her that I wasn't trying to be disrespectful and I'm always appreciative of them helping me and I was sorry if I made her feel bad. She told me she didn't know what I was talking about...So that means my manager was trying to make me feel crazy I guess... So when my one coworker left because she was off at that point I went in a corner and cried lol... One more thing I forgot to add, there was no customers complaining either.

I feel like this one manager wants me to quit, but I'm not going to. Since then I just try to say as little words to her as possible. I hate asking for help on the register though. I always tell her thank you for helping me. I'm sorry if it seems like I don't always come across "respectful" I guess, but I don't wake up in morning thinking "Oh I'm going to ruin my coworkers and customers day today because I hate myself!" Lol πŸ˜‘ I feel like the managers are allowed to be stressed be the regular associates can't, or maybe that's just at my store.

Sorry this was long and hopefully maybe someone can understand what I'm trying to say and I hope this doesn't come across as me trying to be a victim because I don't mind criticism and learning. I love reading the posts on this sub, it makes me feel less crazy lol πŸ™‚
