Did he not find me attractive or was this an excuse to get out?
The date was good — friendly, easy to talk to, no fireworks but I wanted to see him again. The hug at the end felt more intimate than the first one; he even held my hand and texted 30 mins later to ask if I’d had a good time. He was polite and attentive — opened doors, held my bag and leftovers — but a bit hard to read since he’s more introverted and chill.
Didn’t hear from him for a few days, so I figured he wasn’t interested. I messaged to thank him for the gift, we chatted, and he brought up a second date — asked how I’d feel about it. I said I’d be more than happy to, and he said, “Okay, let’s do Saturday, I’ll plan something.” We texted lightly after that, but a few days later he canceled, saying he’s struggling to keep up with matches and wants to focus on one person because it feels like “cheating.” He said he had a great time and thinks I’m gorgeous.
I’m fine with it — it was just one date — but I can’t tell if that was genuine or just a polite way to say he wasn’t feeling it. Or could be focused on on person for real? Thoughts?
