My (20f) parents don’t allow me to take a sleepover at boyfriend’s (24m) house.

So I live with my parents, but i have my own money. I pay my bills, i pay my uni, sometimes I give them some money if they ask to.

For some reason, they don’t want me to take a sleepover at my boyfriend’s house. The reason they give me every time is because they don’t know him (I was with my ex for 2,5 years, they never gave me permission back then, even if they had known him very well).

I had a convo with my therapist (they don’t know about her also hoho) and she told me that I’m a full blown adult with my own money and I don’t want their permission. I already know that, but every time I’m about to do that convo with them, it’s like my breath stops.

Moving out isn’t an option yet, we have plans with my boyfriend about this, but not now.

It’s so stupid. I can spend the whole day with my bf but when it comes to sleepovers, they’re acting like he’s going to kidnap me or something. I spend THE WHOLE DAY with him, what’s the different if we have a nap in between?.

What I’m supposed to do about this? How to convince them?
