Buying new TV, should I buy same brand as my 5.1 SB? (US market)

I bought a low-mid budget soundbar like 3 years ago from Vizio. I have enjoyed using it with a TCL Roku LED TV for the content. Love the soundbar for movies, games, music, you name it!
Just recently gave away the TV to a friend and was looking to buy a new TV.

I am torn between going for a TV with a smart OS (I always favor android TV for customizability) OR going for a Vizio alternative.

Although Vizio is marginally cheaper, it famously does its own OS and the OS is horrible for my use case, with ads baked in etc.

I need some opinions on buying. Should I go for a different brand TV or are there benefits to using a VIZIO one?
