A lesson in looting etiquette goes awry.

Discussion

I was on Dam and headed for the Water Control Surveillance room since I had a key. I've hit it before and know it has some sweet loot. See another raider outside and exchange the usual pleasantries. He follows me in, watches me unlock said room and then the cheeky fucker immediately walks over to the prize gun case and starts rifling through it.

I'm a tolerant guy, but I wasn't having that. Sharing some loot is the price of teaming up, and the security that brings, but this was too much. I could have scolded him over voice chat, but then he'd be on his guard, so I wordlessly gun him down with my Arpeggio whilst his back is turned. I check said the case and it has a lovely purple weapon for me, amongst over gems. My crippled freeloader is slowly trying to crawl away. I apologise over voice chat and stabilise him with a bandage, explaining I used my key so couldn't let him pilfer the rare loot. He says nothing. But then I think, he's not going to make the extract and I want the exp from the kill, and any extra loot. I knock him out and find the greedy chap already had a purple weapon and several blueprints. I'm overjoyed and, now over my weight limit waddle off to the nearest extract.

Sadly, it doesn't end there. Not two rooms away I get mobbed by five Pops of all things and go down before I can heal. GG. I could have taken my time and easily dealt with them, but I was too gung-ho. I think we both learned a lesson.
