Aren't inter caste marriages best way to dilute caste?

I know kids inherit fathers caste but think about how the separate caste groups will now have family relations, 2, 3 generations down the line, you will have relatives across multiple castes. You don't belong to just one group now. It will also solve the problem of people treating girls as some property of the caste who shouldn't marry outsiders.
