Help choosing pet insurance

I have to get pet insurance for my goldendoodle of 4 years and my cat of 8 years old that has preexisting conditions already. In the last 2 days I checked most of the pet insurance websites and got between Spot and Lemonade, I even talked with them and the lady from Spot was very nice and helpful. I wanted to purchase the Spot because looked like it have more to ofer comparing with Lemonade and just before I checked the reviews of reddit and 99% of them are negative. All the people were complaining about having denied their claim and almost never see any money from this company always finding excuses and saying that it’s preexisting condition. Even lemonade had couple of them too but idk what to think anymore because no matter that they say on the website at the end of the day we need people reviewing how their situation was and if they got their money back without problem.

So please help me out and let me know about your good and bad situation your the pet insurance. Thanks!
