Question about DLC on sysNand!

Yes I know that this bans a switch and that's why I ordered another one to do so.

If you install pirated DLC on the sysnand with DBI, is it instantly banned or does it let you open it and connect for a little bit? I own the base game, but I am trying to get a DLC that is no longer being sold. Since the game is cross progression with DLC my theory is that if I install the DLC to my sysnand and get it to connect to servers once with the DLC downloaded it should unlock it on the other platforms.
