Scrotoplasty Issue Help
Hi, all. This is regarding my scrotoplasty that was performed as part of metoidioplasty.
I recently received the devastating news that my surgeon doesn’t think the revision we’d previously discussed for my scrotoplasty is possible. In short, the bottom half of the left side closed up, making the implant entirely above the right one. Not just uneven like is normal in cis men, but one on top of the other, and extremely close to my body - so it looks like I’ve only got one nut. I’m not looking for any commentary on whether or not another doc might be willing to do it, so please don’t write about that. I want to trust him that he is more able to be objective about what’s in my best interest than I can be - I cared about the scrotum a lot, and it had the potential to be extremely good given the amount of outer labia I had to work with. And then there’s the fact that I’ve got absolutely no sensation is the scrotum at all, but that’s another heartache. I’m not looking for comfort on this, please refrain from anything like that. The emotional aspect of this is extremely difficult, but I’m managing.
What I am looking for is advice on non-surgical methods that might help.
As per his request, I did massage on the fused tissue while I brushed my teeth every day for four months and noticed no change. Since he’d previously said he could fix it, I stopped about a month ago. I’m starting that again, and being far more intentional about it so hopefully the extra force will be more effective.
I’m also trying the scrotum stretcher stuff cis guys who want a lower sack sometimes do. For now I’m using the silicone rings, but I might see if I can find some weights that would fit after my next paycheck. I’m doing them at night only because it’s very inconvenient to pee with them on.
So - do any people have experience with success with these methods? Or what about others? Any advice on what might be possible without surgery is greatly appreciated. I will be getting a revision to the tissue next to my penis since it still looks a lot like outer labia, so I’m hoping that this change could help with this issue as well.
