Elation length

I'm 5'5" and I feel like most pants are the right length on me. I love my Elation capris and wanted longer ones, but I'm very confused about the length!

The 7/8 are a little shorter than I want. But regular length is super long on me. I could literally pull the bottom seam down so far that they were around the arches of my feet. (I realize now I tried the "no front seam" ones, are those the same as the original style?). According to the website there is supposed to be only a 2" difference, but I eyeballed about 5" in the store. The bottom was also fairly baggy at the ankle, so I don't think hemming would work.

Is there a way to "hack" this by getting original petite, or 7/8 long? (If it matters, I wear M.)
