Maple grove of different varieties

Hi everyone, I have a curiosity… I have a passion for Japanese maples and the maple grove are truly the most beautiful expression in bonsai for this kind of plants In my garden I have several varieties of maples but they are still far from becoming single bonsai... They are plants with trunks of 1-2 cm maximum. Has anyone ever tried to make a grove with different maples? Do you think it's rubbish?
