Another way to the moon?

Spoiler warning

!To go to the quantum moon, you need a picture. I thought there is already a picture in the radio tower of the moon orbiting giants deep, so I thought let me put my scout here and find the moon. After finishing the game I realised this is not how most people went to the moon. Was this method known?!<
