My boyfriend has an eviction but i don't how hard it is going to be to find a place in Chester county PA that'll take us and is it worth the risk of not putting him on the lease

Hi everyone (22f HERE) recently my boyfriend got evictied from his place and we were looking for another place to go, currently i have lived with him for about 1yr and a half without being on the lease and everything has been fine however when i needed to pay 2,000 for school he needed to pay for one month and couldnt which led to the eviction in general. Should i get a place in a not so good neighborhood with an independent landlord and try to be honest or should i just get this place on my own and have him live there illegally help plz
