An honest opinion on Battle Royale (Normal and ranked)
When fortnite was popular, I played it on my ps4. I was able to play battle royale (probably because I had no clue I was doing). I didn’t played it for long time, until the game added in Peter griffin from family guy. At first, I played some creative maps, but I then i played battle royale. More specifically, the zero build Mode. I was kinda hooked. I bought some of the battle passes, I spent way too much V-Bucks on skins that don’t do anything, but are cool regardless, and I was grinding for the battlepass. More specifically, the ones I think are cool. As a switch user that has suffered from the sudden lag when shooting players, this was rage inducing fun! But, recently, I did a quest to get every single free simpsons items from the game. Including the victory umbrellas. and well…
Yeah, I don’t really like the normal battle royale mode and the game’s building system for these reasons.
1: Because I’m mainly a zero build player, I don’t know how to build that fast like sonic the hedgehog. Do they feel like their fingers are going to break?
And 2: I’m at greater risk at finding a pc user. I cant move my camera that fast, even at the maximum setting.
Ranked is no different ether. For the noobs or people who played the mode (Regular ranked br and Zero build ranked br) out there, here’s an explanation:
Imagine if you’re playing battle royale But with a leaderboard. That sounds like a good idea. Now, Imagine that, but when you getter to a greater point, the harder it becomes. That’s ranked for ya.
Zero build was already at a medium level for me in my opinion. But, the ranked version of that is like Zero build but the difficulty is set to 9000 when you get to gold. Clearly, I need to get gud. But because Fortnite for Nintendo Switch is a mess and the only convenient version I can play, it makes me feel like I’m new to the game again. Doesn’t help that it has way too many lag spikes for me to handle.
Regular battle royale: 6/10 Easy to play, hard to master.
Ranked (both): 5/10 A even harder challenge that is not for me.
