How has google gotten so bad?

I type something in and have to word it very carefully to get one or two results that are close to what i typed in if I'm lucky. It feels like it only picks up one word and shows me random results. Before hand you type in a couple keywords and it feels like its reading your mind and knows exactly what you want to look for. How is it possible to make it so much worse?
